AisleChart

Privacy Policy

Effective August 19, 2026 · renamed from Aislely on September 17, 2026

The short version: AisleChart collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server storing your information. Everything you put into the app stays on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else.

What we collect

Nothing. AisleChart does not ask you to create an account or sign in, and it does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information about you on any server. We operate no backend that receives your data.

Your data stays on your device

Your stores, shopping lists, items, aisle layouts, shopping schedule, trip totals and purchase history, saved recipes and templates, item photos, and any loyalty card you add are saved locally on your device using its built-in storage. This information lives only on your device. It is not uploaded, synced to a cloud, or shared with us or any third party.

No tracking, no analytics, no ads

AisleChart contains no analytics tools, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party software development kits that would collect information about you or how you use the app.

Permissions

AisleChart requests only the permissions its optional features need. Each is used solely on your device, and declining one simply disables that feature.

Permissions are never used to collect or send data to us.

The only two times anything leaves your device

Both are optional features you choose to use. Everything else in AisleChart works fully offline.

  1. Importing a recipe from a link. If you paste a recipe web address, that address is sent to a small helper service so it can fetch the public recipe page and return its ingredient list. The service stores nothing, and your shopping list is never sent. Typing or pasting ingredients directly requires no network connection at all.
  2. Voice dictation. If you use the microphone button to add an item, your device's own speech recognition service — provided by your operating system or browser vendor — converts the audio to text. That processing is governed by your device vendor's privacy policy, not ours. AisleChart receives only the resulting text and handles it locally.

Loyalty cards

A loyalty card you save is stored on your device only. It is deliberately excluded from the list-sharing file and from data export, so it cannot leave your device by accident.

Sharing a list

Sharing a list creates a file that you send yourself, using whichever app you choose. It never passes through our servers.

Reminders and calendar files

When you create a reminder, AisleChart generates a standard calendar file (.ics) on your device. If you choose to add it to your calendar, that action is handled by your device's own calendar app and operating system, governed by their privacy policies. AisleChart does not see, store, or transmit your reminders or calendar.

Data sharing

We do not share, sell, or disclose your information, because we never receive it in the first place. There is nothing for us to share.

Children's privacy

AisleChart does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data is collected or transmitted to us, the app does not gather information from users of any age.

You are in control

Because your data lives only on your device, you control all of it. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling AisleChart permanently removes everything stored by the app from your device. There is no cloud copy to recover, and none to delete.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Meaningful changes will be reflected here before they take effect in the app.
